April Randoms

Ben tricked me good this year on April Fools Day.  Soy sauce + Sprite mixed into an empty Diet Coke bottle = a deceiving bottle of nastiness...

Our favorite friends came over for dinner and games.  I enjoy getting ready for a little dinner party...

These guys are the cutest friends- Claire and Audrey are sitting at their own little table nearby...

The kids played upstairs and watched a movie while the adults played games downstairs...

The whole crew was over another night as part of a babysitting swap - We got some stadium seating going on over here!  haha

Jake had a little mishap recently - he was jumping and sliding on one of our beanbag chairs in the kitchen at breakfast time - But then on one of his jumps he accidentally jumped a little past the beanbag and bonked his chin on the stone tile- Ben was on his way out the door to work, and I got to take an impromptu visit to the Urgent Care for some stitches...

Don't feel too bad for him... he got a hot dog bandaid and an ice cream cone out of it!  :)

Ben has been newly called as a Weeblos leader in the Scouting program - Recently I got go hiking with him and the boys (and my kids too) for one of their activities - the boys did an awesome job collecting trash along the way...

The sun setting in the desert is one of my favorite things to watch...

On the way back down I loved being able to see the beautiful desert with our temple thats being built in the background...

Ben is all grown up!

Ben had a birthday!  Shout hooray! :)  We had sausage, eggs, toast, and fruit for birthday breakfast...

The kids love to pick out gifts for their daddy- this year they earned and saved their own money and bought the gifts themselves, which made it extra special...

Ben still had to work on his birthday- so we met him downtown during his lunch break and ate at one of our favorite places - Zoe's Kitchen...

Then we had ate the most delicious cupackes on earth... 

I had picked these up earlier and we had dessert tailgate style...

We went on a birthday date that night sans kids - the perfect way to end a good day!  :)

Field Trip with my Emma!

Thanks to my sweet friend Lynndsey who babysat my littles for me, I was was able to hang out with Emma on her field trip.  We went to the Pioneer Living History Museum - it was a huge area with lots of buildings to explore.  We had an awesome time!

Becca also had a rodeo/cowboy day at Kindergarten that same day - I wasn't able to go to both, but I got this picture of her with her friend Natalie from another mom friend of mine.  :)

Starting out on the Fairy Treasure Hunt...

I wish I would have gotten pictures of the end of the treasure hunt... the "treasure" was magical pixie dust - all the girls got some to hold in their hand and they were given specific instructions on how to make a fairy wish - the girls were really into it and it was adorable :)

The menu:  pink tea (lemonade), star shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, strawberry and grape fruit skewers, and pink and white frosted cookies...

Presents!

 Our last game was Pass the Fairy Treasure - we played music and the kids passed the wrapped treasure box till the music stopped - whoever had the box each time the music stopped, unwrapped one layer... eventually they got to the treasure and got to split up the girly goods (lip glosses and bracelets) into their favor bags...

I can't believe my Becca is six years old - she's so sweet...
