November Randoms

Emma and I attended a Mother Daughter activity for Activity Days- I love this silly girl of mine!

Young Women's keeps me very busy- I've recently been called to be the 2nd Counselor in our YW Presidency - I LOVE my Young Women girls!  Especially the Beehives that I get to spend time with on a regular basis.

A visit to Sprouts always results in buying muffins...

November weather entices everyone outside!  We love to visit the Food Trucks downtown and meet up with Ben for lunch.

And Cabelas is a fun stop too!

Jake finds unique activities to stay busy...

I love this pic of Claire in timeout at church... I'm not sure what she's scowling at...

Utah Thanksgiving 2013

I drove up to Utah with the kids the weekend before Thanksgiving - Ben had to work, and the weather was questionable with possible snow, so we decided to split up the drive and stopover in St. George at a hotel.  The evening we drove into St. George we had dinner at Kneaders...

Then we settled into the hotel with baths and bed...

The next morning we started our last stretch of driving with a yummy breakfast...

When we arrived at my family's house on Sunday, we were greeted by two mustached men :)  "Movember" was in full swing at our house!

Grandma always has fun activities planned for the kids when they visit.  Since we wouldn't be coming back at Christmas, we did holiday activities a little early - like making and decorating gingerbread cookies - I love Jake's face here, thoroughly enjoying his spoonful of frosting...

Decorating the Christmas tree...

Yummy dinner at Uncle Aaron and Aunt Stefani's house in Provo...

The cute chef couple...

Visits to Provo are no longer complete without a stop at Swig for pink cookies and sodas...

We visited Great Grandma and Grandpa in Salt Lake - the kids got to decorate their tree too!  They really loved it...

We went ice skating at the Gallivan Center - it was super fun!

Santa visited!

And Star Wars visitors came too!

On Thanksgiving morning, we started the day with a 5K race - Jake, Claire, and I were the cheerleaders....

Cheering on the racers is exhausting...

We took turns entertaining the kids while we worked on getting Thanksgiving dinner ready - Turkey hands are a must....

Ben's dream came true and he successfully fried his first turkey....

That's a real man right there...

Uncle Aaron and Aunt Stef taking the kids on a walk...

Grandpa entertained them at the park...

Hill rolling!

At last!  The fried turkey!

The kids helped finish up some of the cooking...

And Jake at a bazillion carrots with ranch...

Posing with his prized turkey...

Aaron and Dad made delicious pies....

Aaron and Stefani ran a Stache 5K that week also...

They have awesome playgrounds at Liberty Park....

And we love to visit the aviary there...

Stef and Aaron got the kids the most adorable early Christmas gift from Fairy Birds...

I sure love my family!  I am so blessed :)
