Girlfriends!

So, I'm wanting to blog, but I don't really have a plan regarding what I will write about. Let's see... I have had a fun time the past couple of weeks. I feel like I've been getting to spend a lot of much needed time with my girlfriends lately. So fun! I think that now that I have little kiddies, I need this girlfriend time more than ever! It's so great to talk with each other about our day-to-day lives... since we're all stay-at-home mommies, it's so great to be able to share our experiences and ideas and just have fun away from our children when possible. :) To recap some of the activities that have gone on lately - a bunch of us girls went to see Hairspray at a late night showing; it was soooo fun and we had the theater to ourselves! Heather already blogged about our outing with a picture of us all being super happy during our late-night excursion. The next week we had another girls night at Amanda's home. She's so fun... and has such a great house for parties! :) She also already blogged about this with some really amusing pictures. I recently remembered that I took one picture of some of us beginning our pedicure session. I love my cute toes! Let's see... and then last night we had yet another girls get together at my place and planned our big Thanksgiving craft project which we'll be working on all together. It's going to be so fun to all sew and stitch in our pj's in the coming weeks. I'm rather looking forward to it.

Another outing which I would be sad to ignore was an awesome date that Ben and I were able to go on this past Saturday. I'm embarrased to admit that this was the first time we have ever left Becca for a date. We've been on a few dates since Becca was born, but they all included Becca as our little tag-along. Well, this time we left Becca and Emma with Ben's parents and we were so grateful to have an evening alone! Becca really gave grandma a lot of work while we were gone. She's turned into quite the little mommy's girl and just screams when anyone other than me holds her. Well, our plan to avoid this problem was to put her to sleep for the night before we left. We did that, but she unfortunately woke up a little while after we left. But Grandma Dangerfield was a real trooper and insisted that we let her deal with our crying and sad little Becca while we finished our date. I was so thankful! We went to Charleston's for dinner, Cold Stone for dessert, and then to see Bourne Ultimatum... which was a great movie! I love date night!

  1. It's good you're getting in a bit of grown-up time. What a nice looking group of friends you have.
I'm relieved to know that you aren't just spending hours alone down there in Arizona.

  3. We've only gone out on one date since Lindsay's been born. She doesn't like anyone else either, and I feel bad pawning her off on friends. Family I wouldn't feel so bad about, but there's none really close by.
