We went to California Adventure on the first day. Emma was to perform here around lunch time- so exciting! Before sending Emma off to get ready to dance, we hit up Bug's Life land first (it seems we always come here first thing- the lines are short, and the kids love these cute rides).
Then we ran into Mickey Mouse - while we were in line to see him, Ben frantically found a gift shop and got an autograph book - I forgot to pack ours! The kids love collecting autographs :) And collecting hugs!
Cars Land!
Getting ready for Radiator Springs Racers! This ride is amazing!
Performance Time! We sent Emma backstage where she would need to get ready in costume and makeup on her own (with some adult backstage help) - we just saved ourselves some seats and waited! The stage she was on is right across from the Monsters Inc ride in Hollywood Land...
Here's a video of some of the performance. Shortly after this, there was some technical difficulties and their music completely stopped! But the girls hung in there like real professionals and sang acapella till their sound came back! This video took 5 hours to upload to my computer, so for now, here's just the first half - at some point I'll add the second half! :)
This experience was so memorable for Emma - what a cool thing she got to be a part of! After she got changed out of her costume and got some group photos, we went to Paradise Pier
To document my awesome score on Toy Story Mania :)
We had dinner at Ariel's Grotto- we had to make reservations for this before we even left for our trip... it was an amazing experience for the kids the meet so many princesses up close and personal. And even Jake loved it! hahaha!
Ariel was at the entrance- the other princesses would just come by the tables during dinner. It was so cool!
Then we headed to the Ferris Wheel! I must document this for Emma's future children. They will love to see this picture of Emma absolutely HATING the ferris wheel!

Little Emma kept right up with the bigger girls in that performance! She was just awesome!! Super good job Emma!
ReplyDeleteI am so proud of all my grandchildren.
Sue you and Ben are giving your kids just neat opportunities.
Scary Ferris Wheel.
Emma, I don't like the Ferris Wheel to much either.
At your age I wouldn't have even gotten on it.
You've got some courage.
