School Holiday Parties

The last week of school before Winter Break was full of holiday parties.

Jake loves singing and having an audience...

Decorating graham cracker houses...

Claire's cute preschool teacher gave all the kids fuzzy Christmas socks - Claire still has hers and wears them often...

Since I'm Becca's class homeroom mom, I was in charge of putting together her holiday party - we did a snow man theme.  We did a snow man craft - wrapped around mini Hershey bars...

And had a snack of snowman parts - powdered donut holes, baby carrots, pretzel sticks, and chocolate chips - plus "melted snow" for drinks...

Before each school party, my laundry basket gets filled to the brim with supplies...

Roll a snowman game...

The next day Becca's class watched The Polar Express with hot chocolate and cookies... I was in charge of bringing in hot chocolate.  I ended up boiling as much water as I could on my stove and pouring it all in one of those orange 5 gallon water coolers.  I mixed in the hot chocolate powder and stirred it all together with a large clean paint stirrer... hahaha... but it worked great!  We had plenty of hot chocolate that was actually still plenty hot when I arrived at school and we started serving it up!

Wow Sue, youre a hard working homeroom mom. Good Job!
That's a brilliant idea of using a 5 gallon container to make hot chocolate! Very smart.
