He stands!

Look at my new helper! I can't believe he's already pulling himself up to stand all over the house - in his crib, at the coffee table, chairs, and now at the dishwasher. I'm anticipating an early walker with this guy... he seems to be doing every physical milestone much earlier than with my girls. He was rolling over at about 3 months, sitting up at 5 1/2, army crawling at 6 months, and now pulling himself to standing at 7 1/2 months... so walking at 9 months seems like a logical next step, right? We'll see I guess - he's definitely keeping me on my toes... and I love every minute of it! He's so great.

So, since it's nearing Thanksgiving, I thought it would be fun to make these with the kids. But when I got to the grocery store to pick out the candies I'd need to put them together, I changed my mind - 'cause I'm a scrooge lately and decided I didn't want to pay for the mini peanut butter cups, candy corn, and white chocolate chips necessary to put them together per the instructions. So, I opted to just buy candy corns and let the kids decorate their "thanksgiving" cupcakes with those. See? On mine I put the candy corns sticking up like turkey tail feathers... so we used our imagination... and by placing the cupcakes next to my ceramic turkey and indian corn, they become very 'Thanksgivingy' indeed. :)

  1. No way! He is so big! How the heck did that happen?! I can't believe it! He probably will walk at 9 months...Chase was pretty early at everything and was walking pretty good at 9 months. Those boys keep you on your toes from day one! Love them though! Hope you are all doing well!

  3. You were walking at nine months. You would even walk down the flight of stairs in our townhouse without holding on at nine months. It looked impossible and scared me every time, but you never had an accident.

  4. very "thanksgivingy" indeed. I just turned around all my jackolantern decorations from halloween so they look like plain pumpkins and that is my thanksgivingy decorations. that is as good as it gets around here.
