I love Mother's Day!! hahaha. It's true. :) I have the best mom that taught me through example to sacrifice time for my kids - I don't think I ever do as well as my mom did at this, but whenever Mother's Day comes around, I relish in the break it gives me! My favorite part was the night before when Ben took the kids out to dinner and mother's day shopping (and worth noting is that Ben and Jake got home from the Father's and Sons campout early that afternoon - but he got his camping stuff all cleaned up and put away and got ready to take the kids out that evening) and I got to go out by myself. I did a little shopping, but mostly hung out at Barnes and Noble for a full 2 hours - I browsed books, sat down and read a while, and got a delicious treat. Obviously I had organizing on the brain...
One of my favorite treats is the reeses pb cookie, warmed up... at the cafe of Barnes of Noble... mmmm...
Sunday morning I got pampered to a delicious breakfast of baked french toast, berries, and juice. And the kids were showered before I even got out of bed...
Enjoying seconds of my delicious breakfast with my favorite little people...
You are the best mom to your kids that I know.
ReplyDeleteMy tip for the day: The best way to get organized is to have less stuff in the first place. haha.
That's not easy when you have a growing family, but still a good guideline.
