Ben's family was traveling over the 4th of July holiday, so we decided to do a staycation at a resort nearby for a couple of nights. We had a fabulous time! I love this family of mine - they are fun to hang out with :)
The kids most enjoyed the kids buffet at one of the hotel restaurants - they chose interesting varieties of foods...
All Claire wanted was watermelon and cheese... and dessert...
We spent almost 2 full days swimming - it was a combination of exhausting and relaxing...
Eating by the pool is my favorite thing ever - food tastes amazing after swimming...
Ben took Jake golfing at the resort- I thought that sounded crazy because it was in the afternoon in the Arizona heat - but they drank a lot of water and went back and forth between shade and golfing - they both had a great time...

While the boys golfed, the girls got pedicures and went shopping - typical, yes :)
As we were checking out and getting ready to walk out to the car, the kids got all excited because a crazy clown lady was in the lobby doing face painting - haha - so they had one last fun hurrah before leaving...
Your stay-cation looked plenty nice to me!
ReplyDeleteMy stay-cations usually involve lawn mowing or snow shoveling.
Jake was cute with the golf club, and it's sweet that all you girls get a little pampering now and then.
Pampering for me is maybe an extra long shower. haha.
