Play and Swim

Emma's cute friend, Sarah, came to play this week and they were so funny to watch. I'm loving the age that Emma is right now because she can really play WITH friends now... you know how when they are younger and they fight more than play and sometimes they just play side by side with friends but don't really communicate much with each other? Well, I'm glad Emma's well past that stage because it's really fun to see her interact with her friends now. They come up with fun activities to do all on their own and imagine up the most amusing scenarios. I got my camera out every once and while and tried to take pictures of them in action while they played... but every time and I did they wanted to pose and give big grins. I think that's the consequence of having blogging mothers who take pictures everyday. :)

They pretended like they were flying on an airplane... so they packed up a suitcase with random stuff and then set up chairs and a table to be a plane... Emma told Becca to sit in the back because she was supposed to be the baby :)

They made matching bracelets and were proud to show them off

The girls just finished up their first swim session today at the community pool. They did so well and I actually feel like they made progress... especially Emma - thankfully she's really coming along with her swimming skills! After swim lessons today we stayed for open swim time to swim as a family for a bit.

Wo! My flash really backfired off those goggles! Emma really loved wearing her goggles at swim lessons though... especially when they started diving for rings

I was glad that Rebecca's class was so small with just 2 other little boys... she ended up getting quite a bit of time spent one on one with her teacher when she'd help them each practice kicking, floating, and moving their arms... Becca definitely feels more comfortable playing in the water now

So, Jake is really funny lately... his latest "thing" is to get books and plop himself down a bed and "read". It's cute. The only beds that he can climb himself onto are Becca's little bed and the baby doll bed. I thought it was so hilarious the first time I found him sitting on the doll bed... what a card he is!

Jake also started dancing recently. He does this really fast moving feet thing... it makes us all giggle...
