Jackson Hole

Time for our big summer trip!!  We planned this trip several months in advance (which is impressive for us!), so by the time it rolled around, we were sooo excited.  I was mostly excited because Ben would have a whole 9 days off of work!  That guy has been working overtime and long hours and usually only getting 1-2 days off each month.  So this was a special treat to all be together as a family for a whole extended week.  The main part of our trip was in Glacier National Park in Montana, but we made our travels to get there a fun and memorable part of the trip as well.  We stopped over on the weekends in Utah to see my family - both there and back.  I'll post pics of that at the end of the trip posts.  :)  After our first stopover in Utah, we drove to Jackson Hole and spent the night at a great resort in Teton Village.  Can you tell the kids were excited to get out of the car....

We checked into the hotel and then ate some lunch and then got in line for the famous Jackson Hole aerial tram...

The ride up!  The tram takes you the top of the Rendezvous Mountain

At the top it was very windy!  Hahaha

Claire was very excited to be picking up rocks while we hiked around at the top of the mountain.  As you can imagine this slowed her down a ton... because she just kept finding more rocks to replace the rocks she was already holding - each time exclaiming, "rock!  ROCK!... my rock"

On the summit, you can buy homemade waffles with various toppings - a popular choice was nutella...

Outside of Corbets Cabin...

Waiting for the tram to ride back down...

When we got back down the kids were all excited about the idea of doing the bungie trampoline jumping.  So Emma, Becca, and Jake all took a turn...

Jake especially LOVED it - he giggled and made this face the whole time - and he just FLEW soooo high - it was hillarious...

Go Becca!

It took Emma a minute to get the hang of it but soon she was doing flips...

Excuse the vertical video...

We ended the day with a dip in the super fun pool!

Next stop on this mystery tour is Yellowstone!

  1. That was such a nice trip. I love Jackson Hole and I especially love Montana.
Tell Claire that grandma thinks rocks are super fun and interesting too! She's my kind of girl.
